Brian Dagen

Brian has been in the Czech Republic since 1997 serving with SEND International. After spending 11 years working in business in Southern California, Brian studied at Talbot School of Theology then moved to Prague with his wife, Jill, and two daughters (Jessica and Amy) in November, 1997. Brian began his involvement with the Alliance for Saturation Church Planting in 2000, initially on a part-time basis. His involvement in the Alliance increased each year, soon becoming his primary ministry. After working with a small church in the city of Havlíčkův Brod for five years, the Dagens moved to Brno in August, 2006, to be in the same city as the other projekt Zet team members. Currently, the Dagens attend a church plant that is part of the Plymouth Brethren Assemblies.

Reading: favorite subjects are spiritual formation and theology, though not excluding an occasional John Grisham novel. Contemporary authors read regularly include John Piper and D.A. Carson, while older favorites are Augustine and Jonathan Edwards. Sports: from a couch potato perspective, nothing beats a major league baseball game. Brian is a long-suffering Angels fan. He also enjoys following European soccer competitions. In terms of actively playing sports, squash would top the list. Sublime pleasures: sipping coffee ranks high. He is also an avid Mac user.

Discipleship Essentials is a discipleship workbook for use in triads, small groups or one-on-one. The balance of this relational and rational approach to discipleship is a welcome addition to the Czech mentors toolbox.
