The Omega Course materials are a church planting toolkit. Designed to provide a necessary biblical foundation and practical ministry skills for those wanting to start new small groups and churches, the Omega materials cover a wide range of subjects that are necessary for the church planting task. These subjects are organized into thirteen different tracks. The Omega resource is divided into five manuals, each of which contains approximately 26 one-hour lessons. As participants complete a manual, they are to work through practical thresholds that enable them to put the principles into practice; the materials are to help people practically work through the church planting process. The lessons have been designed to provide skills, answer questions and discuss potential problems that may be encountered when planting a church. While containing solid biblical information, the Omega materials are highly practical as they walk church planters through the church planting process.

Each of the five Omega manuals includes lessons from some of the thirteen tracks covered in the materials. The lessons in the manuals are grouped by subject matter. Some of the topics, such as “vision” and “church”, are included in all five manuals. Others, such as “discipleship”, appear later in the toolkit when the church planter gets to that point of the church planting cycle. Specific tracks in Omega include:

  • Bible Study Methods
  • Cell Groups
  • The Church
  • Disciple Making
  • Evangelism
  • The Family
  • Leadership
  • Prayer
  • Preaching
  • Spiritual Character
  • Spiritual Warfare
  • Stewardship
  • Vision
